Senior teams don't get better by accident.

I coach the senior team as a whole, alongside the one-on-one work with its members, and I plan, develop, and facilitate the retreats where the real conversations happen.

How I work with senior teams

Coaching the team

Team sessions address how the group makes decisions, handles disagreement, and holds itself to account. Most team engagements pair this with one-on-one coaching for each member, so individual and team work reinforce each other.

Leadership retreats

I plan, develop, and facilitate retreats built around your team's actual agenda, not an off-the-shelf program. The best ones pair strategic work with time for the team to say what doesn't get said in a weekly meeting.

The team and the board

Where the board is part of the system, I work with it too: how it and the executive team divide the work, and how they talk to each other when something goes wrong.

What the work builds

Trust, so people argue about the issue instead of each other. Accountability, so commitments made in the room survive the week after. Enough vulnerability that a leader can say "I don't know" or "I got that wrong" without losing standing.

Teams that have those three things decide faster and revisit fewer decisions. That's the business result. Everything else I do is in service of it.

How an engagement works

We start with you

A conversation with the CEO, and often the head of HR, about what the team needs to be able to do what it can't do today.

I meet the team

One-on-one with each member. Where it helps, I use assessments I'm certified in: Center for Creative Leadership 360, Predictive Index, Myers-Briggs, and DiSC.

We agree on goals

For individuals and for the team, with a cadence of coaching sessions and team sessions, and a retreat when the agenda calls for one.

We keep going

Most team engagements run a year or more, because teams change over time and new leaders join. My longest is in its ninth year.

Let's talk about your team.

Twenty minutes, no obligation. Tell me what's going on and I'll tell you honestly whether I can help.
